See from Krystal Ball on “Rising” on Hill TV: “Dem WAR on Green Party Exposes Voter Suppression Hypocrisy.”

Winger is editor of Ballot Access News. He said today: “The Green Party presidential candidate, Howie Hawkins, is being kept off the ballot in certain states by Democrats, not because he is likely to poll a small vote, but because in the recent past his party has polled too many votes. Every article always mentions how many votes [2016 Green Party presidential nominee] Jill Stein got in 2016 in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin. If she had polled a tiny vote, no one would be trying to keep the Green Party off this year.

“Ballot access jurisprudence says the purpose of ballot access restrictions is to block candidates without a modicum of support. But they are being used for the opposite purpose, to block a candidate because he is likely to have a modicum of support.

“Jill Stein got 1,457,217 votes in 2016.”
