More than 100 organizations are demanding the entry and distribution of lifesaving aid to Gaza, see statement from Doctors Without Borders: “As the Israeli government’s siege starves the people of Gaza, aid workers are now joining the same food lines, risking being shot just to feed their families. With supplies now totally depleted, humanitarian organizations are witnessing their own colleagues and partners waste away before their eyes. Exactly two months since the Israeli government-controlled scheme, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, began operating, more than 100 organizations are sounding the alarm and urging governments to act: open all land crossings; restore the full flow of food, clean water, medical supplies, shelter items, and fuel through a principled, UN-led mechanism; end the siege; and agree to a ceasefire now.”
Middle East Eye reports: “Former UN aid chief: Israel committing ‘worst crime of the 21st century’ in Gaza.” The outlet also reports: “Activists in the Netherlands put locks on the gates of the Jordanian embassy to protest the ongoing siege and starvation in Gaza, particularly the closure of the Kerem Shalom crossing. One of the activists, Anas Habib, livestreamed himself locking the gates of the Egyptian embassy two days earlier to protest the closure of the Rafah border crossing.”
Protests — often using empty pots and pans — are taking place today and tomorrow at the Israeli embassies and other institutions backing Israel’s attacks around the world.
Protesters are gathering regularly outside the New York City residence of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres demanding he do more to stop Israel from starving Palestinians in Gaza.
