Dr. QUENTIN YOUNG
National coordinator of Physicians for a National Health Program, Young has chaired the Department of Medicine at Chicago’s Cook County Hospital. The co-founders of the group completed a study published today in Health Affairs, the premier health policy journal, which finds that one-half of U.S. bankruptcies are related to health expense and illness. The group argues that medical savings accounts that Bush backs would exacerbate the problem.
