Israel Committing “Journocide”

Lebanese journalist Fatima Fatouani of the pan-Arab Al Mayadeen was killed by Israel on Saturday. Earlier this month, she reported on Israel killing seven members of her own family live on air

Al Araby reported: “Fatima Fatouani got out of the targeted car, wounded and bleeding, only to be pursued by the occupation’s aircraft, which bombed her again.”

After an attack in 2024, she held up her microphone: “We will stay and report the truth and the crimes of the Israeli occupation until the last breath.”

In February, she questioned Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam about the safety of people in southern Lebanon and he mocked her concerns to laughter from some of those assembled, saying “Is your health okay? Do we have a doctor with us?”

She was killed along with her brother, freelance photojournalist Mohamad and journalist Ali Shoaib of Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar TV. Al Mayadeen noted that Israel killed two of their journalists in 2023 and two in 2024, all in southern Lebanon. Al Mayadeen roughly translates to “the town square.”

Israel has killed at least 260 media workers in Gaza.
