See “Kids Under Fire: An investigation into Israeli soldiers shooting children,” a Fault Lines documentary which interviews U.S. doctors who have served in Gaza, carried on Al Jazeera. Dr. Mimi Syed, who had 18 cases of children shot in the head, states: “It makes sense to target children if you’re targeting the future.”
Drop Site News reports Thursday: “Relentless Israeli bombardment across Gaza has killed more than 100 Palestinians since dawn, according to medical sources.” Also see from the outlet: “Donald Trump and Germany Are Using the Same Playbook to Criminalize Pro-Palestine Activism.”
Protests are planned in the coming days focusing on Gaza around the U.S., including a March on Washington, on Saturday, April 5 at 1 p.m. ET on Pennsylvania Ave. (Other anti-Trump protests are also scheduled for this weekend.)

The Detroit Metro Times reports: “Wayne State University prevented a group of peaceful pro-Palestinian activists, including students and professors, from gathering at a campus site, the latest example of the college cracking down on opponents of Israel’s relentless killings in the Middle East.”
On Friday, April 4, Doctors Against Genocide and Wayne State University Faculty and Staff for Justice in Palestine will hold an 11 a.m. ET press conference and vigil outside the Wayne State University Mazurek Medical Education Commons.
The group states: “Within Gaza, Israel has engaged in the targeting of hospitals, clinics, ambulances, and even medical workers themselves. Many believe that the medical institutions in which we work and seek healing in this country have been either absent from or shamefully slow in demanding protection of our healthcare colleagues and partner institutions in Gaza.
“The world’s ongoing abandonment of the healthcare workers of Gaza is best encapsulated in the fate of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, the Director of northern Gaza’s Kamal Adwan Hospital. Israeli forces abducted Dr. Safiya on December 27, as they laid waste to the hospital. Soon after, detainees at Israel’s notorious Sde Teiman prison reported spotting Dr. Safiya with injuries suggesting he had been beaten and tortured. He has been unable to access his attorney.
“The temporary pause in Israel’s bombardment of Gaza yielded horrific images of Gaza’s annihilation, with families finally able to dig through the rubble with their bare hands in an effort to recover the bodies of their long-deceased loved ones. With nearly all infrastructure and housing destroyed, and hunger and illness rampant, the situation will remain dire for some time to come, especially after Israel has resumed its assault.”
