Netanyahu Meets with Trump as Israel Slaughters Children

Adam Johnson recently wrote for The Real News: “Media’s Response to Trump Restarting the Gaza Genocide? Mostly Ignore It.”

Haaretz reports Netanyahu avoided flying over countries on his way to the U.S. which might enforce the arrest warrant against him by the International Criminal Court. The Times of Israel reports in “ICC sent Hungary a request to arrest and surrender Netanyahu hours after his arrival” that: “Rather than comply with the order, Orban’s government initiated proceedings to withdraw from the international tribunal.”

Ryan Grim of Drop Site Newswrites: “There aren’t words strong enough to describe the cowardice and depravity of a ‘military’ that will methodically execute medical workers, bury them in mass graves, and tell the NYT the vehicles were ‘advancing suspiciously’ without lights on. These soldiers and their superiors are utterly depraved and a threat to all humanity. Before hiding the bodies in a mass grave, they forgot to grab the cell phone of one of the medics who recorded his own assassination for the world to see — if it cares. As the ‘soldiers’ are nearing their vehicle, and the medic knows they will murder him, you can hear him saying: ‘Forgive us, everyone. Oh God, accept me as a martyr and accept my repentance. Oh mother, forgive me, this is the path I have chosen to help people.’”

AFP reports: “A Palestinian official told AFP that Israeli forces shot dead a teenager holding US citizenship in the occupied West Bank Sunday, while the Israeli military said it had killed a ‘terrorist’ who threw rocks at cars.”

AntiWar.com reports in “Israeli Strikes on Gaza Kill 43 More Palestinians, Including Many Children” that “Gaza’s Government Media Office said nearly 500 children have been killed by U.S.-backed Israeli attacks since March 18.” The outlet also reports “Israeli Official: Palestinians Will Be Removed From Gaza After Hamas Eliminated.” See news summary by Dave DeCamp

Silverstein writes at Tikun Olam. His latest piece is “Genocide in the White House.” In a piece from 2016, “Netanyahu: Ethnic Cleanser,” Silverstein noted that in 1989, Netanyahu advocated for Israel to conduct “mass expulsions” of Palestinians while the world was focusing on the Tiananmen Square protests.
