AntiWar.com reports: “Sixty-Eight Reported Killed by U.S. Airstrike on African Migrant Facility in Yemen” and “Israeli Attacks on Gaza Kill 167 Palestinians in Three Days Amid Total Siege.”
Hala Jaber, author of Hezbollah: Born With a Vengeance, states: “Israel bombed Beirut’s southern suburbs again [Sunday night]. The Lebanese government, stripped of deterrence & forced by the U.S. to chase the fantasy of disarming Hezbollah, stood powerless, just as it has throughout 2,740 Israeli ceasefire violations since November, killing more than 190 people & injuring over 485. Seriously, this isn’t governance, it’s managed helplessness. Hezbollah, still adhering to the ceasefire, hasn’t retaliated once. But still calls to disarm it grow louder. Let’s be clear, this isn’t about stability. It’s about gutting Lebanon’s last line of defense & handing the country to Israel, under U.S. supervision. Lebanon’s sovereignty is being negotiated over the heads of the communities that will pay the price & those communities refuse to play their assigned role. …” Human Rights Watch recently released the report “Lebanon: Indiscriminate Israeli Attacks on Civilians.”
Sky News recently reported: “IDF admits responsibility for deadly attack on UN building last month.” Trita Parsi noted: “Again and again, Israel deliberately kills UN staff (not to mention Palestinian civilians), denies it, only to admit the crime weeks later after the world has turned its focus to countless other crimes Israel has committed, which it’ll initially deny…”
Parsi also wrote recently: “There is still no evidence yet as to whether the explosion in Bandar Abbas, Iran, that has left at least 500 people injured, was an accident, or whether it was an act of sabotage, and if the latter, by whom. But it is happening in a context in which many of us had predicted that as Israel failed to push Trump to adopt maximalist goals in the nuclear negotiations, the Israelis would shift their focus towards seeking to sabotage the talks by getting the Iranians to pull out. And to do so either by intensifying cyber attacks, assassinations inside of Iran, or acts of sabotage. This explosion may very well fall into that latter category. …” See follow up statements here and here.

In response to comments by U.S. ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, she wrote: “How suavely he tells us that the people of Gaza should go on starving to death. The ICC needs to issue another arrest warrant.”
AFP reports: “The World Food Programme on Friday said months of Israeli blockades have entirely depleted food stocks in Gaza. The WFP warned that thousands of Palestinians could die of starvation as a result of the policy. … The heads of 12 major aid agencies last week said: ‘Famine is not just a risk but likely rapidly unfolding in almost all parts’ of Gaza.”
