Trump Dominates UN, Israel Ethnically Cleanses in Lebanon

Mokhiber is an international human rights lawyer and activist and a former senior United Nations human rights official.

He has written a series of articles on U.S. and Israeli violations of international law, attacks on international courts, manipulations of the UN and methods of overcoming these moves.

He just posted: “The UN Security Council will consider another outrageous resolution [Friday], this time drafted by Bahrain (the current UNSC President and a US-Israel ally). A month into the U.S.-Israel unlawful aggression on Iran, the draft is entirely silent on the aggression, its perpetrators, and on ending the attacks, and instead seeks to expand the conflict by authorizing military force against Iran in the Strait of Hormuz and even in Iranian territorial waters. (Nor does it address the aggressors’ genocide in Palestine or the invasion of Lebanon). There are hopeful indications that China and Russia may (finally) stand up to veto this dangerous draft, and even France has expressed reservations. But the UNSC has twice gone rogue in recent months, trampling on international law and buttressing U.S.-Israeli impunity, and has done nothing to stop the Palestinian genocide or the invasion of Lebanon, so one could not guarantee that this latest outrage will be stopped.”

Drop Site News reports: “Israel Is Conducting a Campaign to Ethnically Cleanse Southern Lebanon of Shia Residents.” Ryan Grim reports: “Israel is explicitly warning Christian and Druze residents in southern Lebanon not to hide Muslim residents among them as their forces advance.”

See video from Mokhiber: “Hezbollah is not an Iranian proxy.”

Mokhiber also notes: “Despite having been judicially cleared of allegations of sexual misconduct, a Western-led campaign against ICC prosecutor Karim Khan has led to a political decision to disregard the judicial findings and proceed with a disciplinary process.”
