Trump Seeks U.N. Blessing for Gaza Scheme

The U.S. has circulated a draft resolution with several U.N. Security Council members that would establish an international force in Gaza that would have a mandate of at least two years, Axios reported on Monday.

A U.S. official speaking to Axios said that the International Security Force (ISF) would be an “enforcement force and not a peacekeeping force.”

Dave DeCamp reports: “The resolution would give the U.S. and other participating countries the authority to govern Gaza and be responsible for security in the Strip through the end of 2027, with the possibility of extending the mission.

“The Axios report notes that the language could mean the ISF will be tasked with disarming Hamas if the group doesn’t do so voluntarily. At this point, it remains unclear which countries will send troops, but reports say Indonesia, Azerbaijan, Egypt, and Turkey are willing to, though they may not want to sign up for fighting Hamas.”

“Under the resolution, the ISF will be overseen by the so-called ‘Board of Peace,’ a body that will be chaired by President Trump.” AntiWar.com also reports: “Israel Arrests Ex-IDF Lawyer Who Leaked Video Showing Israeli Soldiers Rape a Palestinian Prisoner” and that Israeli fire killed at least three Palestinians in Gaza on Monday, bringing the total since the latest “ceasefire” to 238.

Security Council delegations, led by the U.S. as the co-perpetrator of the genocide in Palestine, with the support of complicit countries like the U.K. and France, and with the cooperation of U.S. client states in the region, are conspiring to merge elements of the French-Saudi colonial plan, with the U.S. colonial plan, in order to get a U.N. stamp of approval for the further colonization of Gaza, the subjugation of Palestinian survivors, the buttressing of Israeli impunity, and the normalization of the Israeli regime in the midst of the genocide. It doesn’t have to be this way. Colombia has a proposal for protecting and empowering Palestinian human rights and holding Israel accountable. And in part for this, it is being threatened with U.S. military aggression.”
