In “Top Houthi Official Tells Drop Site Yemen Will Cease Attacks on U.S. Ships if Trump Halts Bombing” Drop Site News reports: “A senior leader of Ansar Allah, commonly known as the Houthis, told Drop Site News that if the U.S. ends its campaign of air strikes against Yemen, Houthi forces will commit to halting all attacks on U.S. ships in the region.”
Additionally, the outlet reports Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a longtime spokesperson for the group, “said Trump can end the battle in the Red Sea by forcing Netanyahu to stop Israel’s genocidal war.” That is, the group would halt attacks on Israeli targets as well if Israel stops attacking Gaza.
AntiWar.com reports: “Six Reported Killed by U.S. Bombing of Factory in Yemen’s Sanaa” and “Houthis Say They Shot Down Fourth US MQ-9 Reaper Drone Within Two Weeks,” which states: “The Houthis, officially known as Ansar Allah, claimed to have shot down 19 American MQ-9 Reaper drones since October 2023. At $30 million per MQ-9, that means the US has lost $570 million worth of drones to Yemeni air defenses.”
